You know how the the song goes, “a three hour tour…a three hour tour.” Well, without Gilligan or The Skipper a trip to a deserted island just doesn’t seem fun. So, we opted for “dry land” as the Sally Hedberg & Friends showed how “Boats Float” at the July 10th Storytime right here in our very own Community Room. They taught us about density and how items that look like they may sink will float right up to the top. We got a chance to make our very own boats using recycled materials. Then, it was “all hands on deck” as we found out if our creations were “sea worthy” as they floated along in a kiddie pool just right outside.
