On May 15th , the children went to Space this week during our Library Storytime. Well, sort of as first time reader Wendy Watts started things off with a few books that had the kids using their imaginations. They buckled up in their rockets (or carpet squares, if we need to get technical…) and blasted off to the Moon and Mars. Then, Special Guest Michelle Ferrara-Peterson from Astro Camp, stepped in to bring a folk tale to life as she talked about how the stars and moon came to be. She also brought along star charts for the kids to take home. Everyone looked liked they and a great time and no one had to leave Earth….So we count that as a win/win.
