Postmaster Kelly came to visit the Library from the Idyllwild Post Office on July 3rd to read a few stories as we celebrated, “National Postal Worker Appreciation Day.” She talked of her travels and her time as a “Letter Carrier in San Diego,” at the beginning of her career. She now oversees operations in our town just right next door to us. She also brought with her several vintage stamps to test the kids knowledge of historical figures and celebrities from years past. The kids then colored and addressed Post Cards to send to our local Fire Department. Then it was off to a field trip as everyone walked just a few steps away to see how a mail room operates as they got a chance to send off their post cards.
